Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters by Andrea Beaty

Both of my girls are huge fans of Rosie Revere, Engineer. Helena once dressed as Rosie for World Book Day and totally inspired her classmates to jump on board with reading the book. Florence has continued in the enthusiasm of the characters and when I saw there was a new range of chapter books showcasing Rosie’s adventures we were super excited!

Rosie Revere and the Racous Riveters is filled with escapades and pizzazz and with the short chapters it’s perfect for the young reader. Florence, who has just turned 8, can read this book independently and adores exploring each page and it’s monochromed, detailed illustrations.

Once again, Rosie begins with a great engineering idea but this time around it’s more complex than she realises and her perseverance is certainly tested. With the help from her beloved Aunt Rose and her friends, the Racous Riveters, Rosie is able to create the Paintapoolza!!

The next chapter book in the series is Ada Twist and the Perilous Pantaloons and we’ve equally loved this one too.
