Unique, practical stylish kimonos made from recycled fabrics
REGION: United States
Kiboro is a Brooklyn-based childrenswear brand offering unique kimono-style rompers for all babies aged 0-36 months. Each Kiboro outfit is created using bits of cloth from articles of clothing no longer in use, reimagined into an entirely new piece that mirrors the design simplicity and practicality of a traditional Kimono and is inspired by the Japanese textile Boro.

Every piece in the collection is one-of-a-kind, hand-made and designed to last. Using materials such as denim, cotton and linen, these are pieces your little one can wear and and wear and wear again – they’re machine washable and durable.

The Kimono silhouette is held together by two ties and conveniently positioned snaps that allow for comfy and easy clothing changes. Dress your Kiboro up with tights and longsleevess, or wear it as is for warmer days – this piece can take your through the seasons too!

“I love the repurposing of cloth here. As a result, not only are the pieces sustainable, but unique too! ”
