Passarito Mon Amour
If I am being perfectly honest, I probably visit Passarito, a Portuguese cave à vin in the 11th arrondissement, way too often. Full disclosure: it is almost a stone’s throw from my apartment. Putting the convenience aside, I have even better reasons for my frequent visits.  As a serious design lover, I want to be ...

When friends meet up for brunch with the little ones on the weekends I have a regular rotation of kid-friendly joints I usually insist on. Les Niçois is high on that list. It has everything you could possibly dream of and more for weekend brunch with kids. First off all it’s spacious, so you ...

Brocantes Popincourt
Just around the corner from me is a little collection of about 8-10 little brocantes shops which, surprisingly, not that many people know about... and they are fabulous. I think about 90 per cent of all the furniture I have bought in recent years comes from there. Each shop is owned by someone different, with ...

Rue Keller
If you are ever in the 11th arrondissement in Paris,  rue Keller is a great street to visit for a little bit of off-the-beaten-track retail therapy. is lined with loads of cute autonomous boutiques, reasonably priced lively restaurants and bars, and little art galleries. Anne Willi, the adult and children's clothes designer, has her flagship ...

Paris Plage
It is that time of year again here in Paris: the right bank of the Seine has been taken over by lounge chairs, palm trees, sun and sand. If you happen to be in Paris for the month of August (most Parisians have left for the country and the city is spookily quiet) Paris Plage ...

Moi et ma fille
Receiving packages in Paris is a nightmare! The post is notorious for losing most packages. The other option is private delivery companies, but the delivery times are often between 8 am and 6 pm. There is no way that I can stay in my flat for a full 10 hours, so I always miss the ...

Mum and Babe
A while ago I wrote a blog post about one of my favourite streets here in Paris, rue Keller. Rue Keller has just gotten even better. It is worth visiting for this place alone -- Mum and Babe, Paris' first Hairdresser and Beauty Salon with creche. A beautiful separate room with a professional child minder ...

Lilli Bulle
Several of our Babyccino readers have already requested I write a post about this shop and I was waiting for the right moment to give it the attention it deserves. Lilli Bulle is worthy of being the kids' clothes shop featured in our theme week! It is actually one of these places I have to ...

Paris Plage
There is no way the Parisians are going to be outdone by the Dutch. Amsterdam might have Strand Zuid, but we have Paris Plage -- at least 2km of golden sand and palm trees all along the right bank of the Seine with scantly clad Parisians and Parisiennes sunning themselves. There are bars, there's music, ...

Summer holidays! If you follow Esther and Emilie on Instagram, you’ll have seen a few happy photos of their two families together in France! It’s a sweet summertime tradition for them. Being on the opposite side of the world, I will admit it makes me feel extra far away and sad to miss out on these wonderful get-togethers. The kids are all growing up so quickly — I couldn’t believe how tall and grown-up Emilie’s girls have gotten. And speaking of tall — I’m pretty sure Esther now has at least two kids who are taller than I am. Like an old granny would do, I’m pretty sure I’d squeeze their cheeks and tell them all I remember holding them in my arms when they were just one day old!!! Anyway, we’re taking a couple of weeks off from blogging to allow Esther, Emilie and all of our wonderful contributors some time to enjoy a bit of summer holiday family time. We hope you’re doing the same! See you back here in a couple of weeks. Courtney xx @estherbabyccino @emiliebabyccino @courtneyadamo #babyccinokids

Fancy an easy-peasy, delicious, light, fudgy chocolate sponge cake? Easy enough to rustle up with a 3-year-old’s help too. It’s gluten-free for starters, vegan, and nut free too. 🤎 You won’t need any fancy kit, the preparation time is around 10 minutes, there’s no whipping, melting, or soaking overnight, and you won’t need to source any wacky ingredients from the health food shop. It’s also a robust enough recipe to work as either cupcakes, a sponge cake, or even a loaf. So visit our new blog post and get baking! @beesbakery #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats
