Snowy Lime Cookies -- Mouthwateringly delicious and pretty too
It has been snowing a lot in many parts of the globe, but here in London we are longing for a winter wonderland moment to happen. Ok, we may be the only ones waiting, and we know the snow had been relentless in much of the US this winter, but that should not stop anyone ...

Barberry Bundt Cake
I found this recipe for a Barberry Cake in our local organic supermarket’s monthly magazine and it turned out great but not only that – I later learned that the main ingredient, dried barberries, are also extremely healthy! They contain berbeerine, which has been used for its medicinal properties for a long time. The ...

Some yummy seasonal cookies
We love baking during the Christmas season and these two cookie recipes we make every year. Speculaas (just like pepernoten) are very specific to December as we relate them to Sinterklaas, but where pepernoten really only hit the scene when the Saint is in town, we like to enjoy speculaas the rest of the year as ...

The perfect Masala Chai
When we were in Chile last December, our surf instructor, Ismael Herreros, got us all hooked on chai tea. He prepared a thermos of chai each morning and brought it along for our afternoon surf classes. We've had such a cosy winter holiday spending our days with the fire lit, reading books and baking in the kitchen. Making pomanders
As a child, my mum and I made pomanders out of oranges and cloves every year for Christmas. I love that smell, so spicy and Christmassy, so last weekend I put my kids to work. It kept them focussed and busy for quite some time! It's such an easy and lovely project, great for all ...

Lemon Curd
Back in the Summer (doesn't it feel an age ago?) we had a BBQ party and I used lemons in vases as decorations.  The day after, as my head pounded, I looked at the 40 lemons and remembered a friend of mine mentioning she had a good recipe for lemon-curd.  I do love a preserve ...

Hi guys! Here Bethie and I are showing you how to prepare a super easy dish that your family will love -- a video we bring to you in cooperation with Abel & Cole, deliverer of fabulous food boxes filled to the brim with organic freshness! Here's the list of ingredients: a royal 1 tbsp of olive oil 1 butternut squash 1 red onion 2 red peppers 2 garlic cloves 4 vine tomatoes 150g quinoa sea salt & freshly ground pepper 300 ml vegetable stock 2 tbsp red wine vinegar 25g raisins 80g black olives And for the garnish: a handful of chervil feta (optional) Directions: Peel your butternut squash. Cut in half and scoop out the seeds. Chop the flesh into 1cm chunks. Peel and cut the onion into thick slices. Cut the pepper in half and scoop out the seeds and white pith. Chop into bitesized pieces. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Roughly chop the tomatoes. Rinse the quinoa under cold water to remove any bitterness. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large heavy based pan. Tip in all the veg and quinoa. Pour in the veg stock and the red wine vinegar. Add the raisins and the olives. Season with salt and pepper. Pop on a lid and cook for 30-40 mins until the squash is soft and the sauce thick. Stir every now and then during cooking. Scatter over the chervil (or flat leaf parsley leaves) and serve in warm bowls. Top with crumbled feta if you like! A super colourful, super easy and super delicious dish for taste buds of all ages! Bon appétit!
