Here in Amsterdam, we have a little shop I love. It is called De Zaailing, and it sells all sorts of beautiful and natural toys, clothes, crafting materials and books. On the counter, they keep a wicker basket full of the most beautiful little felt fairies — perfect little presents for birthdays, or just because. My children each have a little flower fairy in their room and they all treasure them.
There are also really lovely seasonal fairies — mushroom and acorn fairies for fall, there is a Sinterklaas and a Santa, darling tree decorations, angels and ice princesses, and then countless flower fairies for spring and summer. My sweet friend Annie from Brimful recently told me that these felt characters are entirely made by hand by local craftswomen in Romania, and are brought on the market by Nicoletta from Eco Flower Fairies. The fairies really make the sweetest presents, are wonderful to use for decoration on your seasonal table (if you have one) or to decorate your table for holidays.

Just adore these Fairies and so loved bringing the Festive Fairies to London Shopup. Spring Fairies are making their way to me and will be available to buy via my Babyccino Shop in the next week or so. I will update you here once they arrive and are available for UK Fairy Fans 🌸💫 @cientauk http://www.cienta-kids.co.uk
I was SO PLEASED to see these on your post for the seasonal table a few weeks back. For many years I regularly purchased pretty felt fairies from a little Waldorf shop in Paris called pentagram. Well they have unhappily closed up shop. The fate of so many sweet independent retailers in our lovely city…
My girls loved gifting these,(super reasonably priced, and sooo darling!) We have a huge collection, but I had no idea whére to find them now. I don’t like the fact that these are shipped from the states. I would rather find a European distributor as they are made here to start with… I will look at your Dutch shop!
Stacy, I was going to point you to Anna at Cienta: http://babyccinokids.com/shop/view/cientakidsuk.html — she was selling the fairies at the ShopUp in London last month, but she already left the comment above! 😉

My girls use these as finger puppets too!
Yes, the older ones are hollow, but some of the new ones have a filled body (which does make them a bit more sturdy) x
Thank you Esther and Anna! I will keep checking on your web.
