If you happen to be in the north of Paris do check out the great outside play park at La Villette. La Villette is the place you can find the fantastic Science Museum for kids. There are more than 10 different themed gardens at La Villette — the one my kids loved is called “Jardin des Dunes et des Vents”.

The outside play area is divided into age groups, with age-appropriate equipment. It’s fantastic as parents of small kids can relax safe in the knowledge that older kids are not going to be knocking down the younger ones every single second.

For the smaller kids you have huge trampolines and for the older ones huge climbing structures to run around in and discover.

A great way of letting go of pent up energy, especially after a visit to the nearby Science and Music Museums.

This is one of our all time favorite park in Paris. Just next to it is also the Philarmony that offers weekend workshops for kids and parents 🙂

Marionnette Puppet Shows in little theatres across Paris
I cannot believe that I waited until my daughter was four to visit one of the Marionnette puppet shows. What a sweet effortless yet culture-rich activity for small children from one year old up to adults. We walked by the theaters in the Buttes Chaumont and the Jardin Luxembourg several times but I just couldn’t ...

The Parc de Belleville used to be just a normal city park, nothing to write home about. But thanks to strict safety laws, the play area in the park had to be closed down and re-opened with a play structure that is worth a visit, especially if you have boys with a surplus of energy! ...
